Approach and anchoring
Enter on the rising tide, the bay dries in large sectors at low water. Watch the leading lines of Le Plomb 0.2 NM to the NE. La Rochelle Vieux Port lies 3.4 NM to the SE as the main fallback.
Practical
Forain anchorage on mud, holding reported as good once the anchor is set. No services. Exposed to westerly and southerly winds, which are the prevailing winds here in summer.
Ashore
The Pointe du Plomb coastal path is 400 m inland and runs along the oyster parks towards Esnandes. No shops directly on site, the nearest bakery and grocer are in the village of L'Houmeau, 2 km inland.
