Channel dries at low water. Maximum draught 0.3 m, enter near high water only. Local oyster farming poles mark the approach, follow the marked channel.
Practical
Small tidal basin used by flat-bottomed craft and oyster boats. La Rochelle Vieux-Port lies 3.4 NM SE and Port des Minimes 3.6 NM S for deeper-draught vessels.
Ashore
Coastal path along the Pertuis Breton towards Nieul-sur-Mer. Oyster tasting cabins on the foreshore. La Rochelle old town and towers reachable by road, about 8 km south.
