Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south, sand bottom close to the point. Sheltered only from the north, exposed to easterly and southerly winds and swell. Port des Oursinières lies 0.8 nm to the NW and Port des Salettes 2.1 nm to the east if conditions deteriorate.
Practical
Forain anchorage with no facilities. Nearest water, fuel and berths at Port des Oursinières.
Ashore
The red-ochre cliffs that give the point its name rise above the anchorage and can be followed on the sentier du littoral towards Le Pradet and the Mines de Cap Garonne museum about 3 km to the west.
