Approach and anchoring
Open from NW through W and S to SE, sheltered only from the eastern sector. Drop on the sandy patches between the Posidonia beds. The mistral funnels down the western side of the peninsula and raises a short sea here.
Practical
La Madrague de Giens fishing harbour lies 0.4 nm to the east with a small quay and the village shops. Port du Niel 1.3 nm further east for a second shelter.
Ashore
Sandy beach directly behind the anchorage. Coastal path of the Giens peninsula runs from La Madrague round the Tour Fondue, linking with the salt marshes of the double tombolo to the north.
