Approach and anchoring
Approach from the west through the Petite Passe of the Rade d'Hyères. Posidonia patches require eyeball navigation to find clear sand in 4 to 7 metres. Anchoring on posidonia is prohibited by the Prefectoral decree covering the Parc national de Port-Cros zone of adhesion.
Practical
Forain anchorage with no facilities. Port du Niel at 0.5 NM to the south and La Madrague de Giens at 0.9 NM to the west for landing by dinghy and basic shops.
Ashore
Sentier du littoral runs along the Giens peninsula and reaches the salt marshes of Les Pesquiers, a listed ornithological site with flamingos, at around 2 km. Village of Giens with shops at 1.5 km by road from La Madrague.
