Rocky anchorage off the northwest tip of the Giens peninsula in the Var, between Hyères and the Presqu'île de Giens.

Approach and anchoring
Approach from the west along the Rade d'Hyères. Bottom is rock, holding is variable, drop the anchor on sandy patches between the rocks. Sheltered from N and NE winds, fully exposed to the mistral from W and SW and to easterlies setting into the rade. Keep clear of the posidonia beds, which are protected under French Mediterranean regulations.
Practical
No facilities on site. Nearest shelter is La Madrague de Giens at 0.9 NM NE, Port du Niel at 1.4 NM E.
Ashore
La Madrague de Giens fishing harbour lies 0.9 NM to the NE for shelter and a bakery. The Sentier du Littoral runs the full western coast of the Giens peninsula with access from La Madrague.
