Approach and anchoring
Approach from the NE between Cap Fréhel and Pointe de la Latte. Sand bottom in 3 to 6 m. Open to E and NE winds, which send swell straight into the bay. Saint-Cast Port d'Armor 2.3 NM SE is the nearest all-weather port.
Ashore
Fort-la-Latte, listed as a monument historique in 1925, stands on a coastal promontory 60 m above sea level. The castle was built in the 14th century by the Goyon-Matignon family and was used as filming location for The Vikings in 1958. GR34 coast path runs from the fort to Cap Fréhel, 3.5 km W.
