Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north with the Pointe de Saint-Cast to port. Bottom is sand with rocky patches, so drop the anchor on clear sand and check the set. Exposed from E through SE, protected from N, NW and W. Port d'Armor lies 2.2 NM to the SE as a refuge.
Practical
Forain anchorage with no services. Come ashore by tender on the beach. Saint-Cast-le-Guildo town is a short walk away for shops, bakery and restaurants. Diesel, water and berths available at Port d'Armor if needed.
Ashore
GR 34 coastal path runs along the cliffs of the Pointe de Saint-Cast, about 700 m from the beach. Saint-Cast town centre sits roughly 1 km inland with a Monday morning market. The Fort la Latte, a 14th century cliff-top fortress, is 8 km by road to the west.
