Approach and anchoring
Strong tidal streams around Cap Fréhel, plan the approach at slack water. Drop the hook on sand between kelp patches in 3 to 6 metres at low water. Large tidal range typical of the Breton north coast, over 10 metres at spring tides. Sheltered from N and NE, open to the south-west.
Practical
No services. Saint-Cast - Port d'Armor marina 3.2 NM south-east with all services. Les Hôpitaux drying anchorage 4.7 NM west for local shelter.
Ashore
GR 34 coastal path skirts the cliffs, the Sentier des Douaniers stage between Cap Fréhel and Fort la Latte passes above the cove. Fort la Latte medieval fortress open to visitors about 2 km east, built in the 14th century on its rocky promontory.
