Approach and anchoring
Enter the bay from the south between Beg-Meil and the Cabellou peninsula. Sand holding in 2 to 5 m close to the beach. Sheltered from N, NE, E and SE, exposed to southwesterlies rolling in from the Glénan channel.
Practical
Forain anchorage, no mooring buoys. Concarneau fishing and marina port 1.1 nm SE, Cap Coz 1.6 nm NW. Water and fuel at Concarneau marina.
Ashore
Sables Blancs beach, 600 m of fine sand, lifeguarded in summer. Sentier côtier GR 34 along the shore leads east to the walled town of Concarneau, Ville Close, in about 30 minutes on foot. Beach bar and restaurants at the back of the sand.
