Approach and anchoring
Approach by the Rance maritime channel after clearing the Barrage de la Rance lock at Chatelier. Strong tidal streams in the river, keep to the buoyed channel. Sheltered from NW, W and SW, exposed to N and E gusts that funnel along the valley.
Practical
Mooring on buoy on mud bottom. No services at the point. Saint-Suliac village pontoon 1.1 nm to the northeast, Le Minihic-sur-Rance 1.3 nm to the northwest.
Ashore
Saint-Suliac is listed among the Plus Beaux Villages de France, with 16th and 17th century granite houses along narrow lanes. Vieux Mont de Garrot viewpoint over the Rance at 1 km, Mesolithic menhir of Chablé at 2 km.
