Navigation on the Rance is regulated by the tidal barrage at La Richardais, which dictates water levels upstream. Follow the buoyed channel. Mud bottom, strong tidal currents on the ebb and flood. Shelter from E winds only.

Mooring on buoy, no service pontoon. Plouër-sur-Rance marina at La Minotais lies 1.3 NM SW with water and electricity. Port de Saint-Suliac at 1.6 NM N offers drying berths.

Village of Saint-Suliac at 1.6 NM, classified among the Plus Beaux Villages de France, with a 13th-century church. GR 34 coastal path follows the Rance shore on both banks.
