Approach and anchoring
Navigable through the Rance tidal power plant lock at Saint-Malo, opening hours set by the dam schedule. Sand and mud bottom, good holding. Sheltered from W through S. Exposed to N and NE winds that funnel down the estuary.
Practical
No services in the cove. Port de Saint-Suliac 1.3 NM N offers visitor moorings and a slipway. Plouër-sur-Rance La Minotais 1.3 NM S has 420 berths with water, electricity and a boatyard.
Ashore
Saint-Suliac village is listed among Les Plus Beaux Villages de France with granite fishermen's houses and a Viking camp archaeological site on the Mont Garrot headland. GR34 coastal path runs along the estuary with views over the Rance basin.
