Approach and anchoring
Approach from the open lake with no tidal constraint. Sand bottom, good holding in 3 to 5 m. Open to the Bise, the cold NE wind that builds steep chop on the Léman. Port de Nernier lies 1.2 NM W and the Château de Coudrée headland 2.8 NM SE.
Practical
Water point ashore. No fuel, no chandlery. Nernier village has a bakery, two restaurants and a small grocery within 400 m of the port. Nearest fuel berth at Thonon-les-Bains, 7 NM E.
Ashore
Nernier is classed among Les Plus Beaux Villages de France since 2017. Lakeshore path from the port to the hamlet of Locum, 1.5 km E. Château de Coudrée, a 13th century keep, stands at the end of the Coudrée beach 2.8 NM SE.
