Anchorage on the southern shore of Lake Geneva, in Haute-Savoie, between Thonon-les-Bains and Sciez.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from open water of the Petit Lac. The anchorage is sheltered from SW, S and SE winds by the foothills of the Chablais, but exposed to the N and to the Bise, the cold NE wind that blows down the lake and raises a steep short sea. Seabed is sand. No tidal effect on the lake, but watch for the sudden Vaudaire squalls from the Rhone valley in summer.
Practical
No services at the anchorage itself. Small Corzent jetty 0.8 NM to the E serves local boats. Port de Sciez, 1.7 NM to the SW, has visitor berths, water, electricity and a slip.
