Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the N over clear water. Sand holds well. Open to the full fetch of the Vaudaire and SW winds blowing across the lake; shelter if a S or W blow sets in. The beach is a designated swimming zone in summer, keep clear of the 300 m bathing area marked by yellow buoys from mid-June to mid-September.
Practical
No moorings or services on the anchorage. Port de Sciez is 1.1 NM SE for water, diesel and visitor berths.
Ashore
The village of Excenevex has a bakery, grocery and cafés within 400 m of the beach. Yvoire, classified among the Plus Beaux Villages de France, is 3 km west with its medieval walls and 14th-century château. Château de Coudrée stands 0.9 NM SE along the shore.
