Approach from the open lake on a W or NW heading. Rock bottom makes holding uneven; check the set before leaving the boat. Open to winds from N and W, sheltered from E through SW.

Practical

No services on the water. Port de Ripaille sits 0.3 NM east and Port d'Amphion-Publier 1.6 NM east for fuel, water and a proper berth.

Ashore

Domaine de Ripaille is a walled 15th-century Carthusian estate with a château built for the Dukes of Savoy, open to visitors. The 53-hectare Forêt de Ripaille arboretum sits just behind the shore. Thonon-les-Bains town centre is about 2 km east on foot or by bike.
