Guide
Approach and anchoring
Open roadstead sheltered from S, SW, W and NW winds, exposed to the east and the levant. Seabed of sand with Posidonia patches; drop the anchor on clear sand to respect the seagrass. The Giens and Porquerolles area lies within the Parc national de Port-Cros adhesion zone, with anchoring restrictions on Posidonia for vessels above 24 m.
Practical
No services on site. Port Auguier 0.7 NM to the SW and Port du Niel 1.2 NM to the W for small visitor berths and tenders ashore.
Ashore
The beach of La Badine borders the anchorage. The Giens peninsula coastal footpath runs around the cape, linking La Badine to the Tour Fondue ferry terminal about 1.5 km to the S, which serves Porquerolles year-round.
