Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north. Clean sand bottom, holding in 4 to 8 m. Shelter from S, SW, W and SE, open to northerly winds which build a swell into the bay. Anchoring regulated by the park: use sand patches only, Posidonia meadow is protected.
Ashore
Fort de l'Alycastre, built in 1635 under Louis XIII, overlooks the beach. Coastal path reaches the village of Porquerolles in about 1.5 km with shops, bakery and restaurants around Place d'Armes.
