Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Bay of La Forêt to the west. Sand bottom shoaling gently toward the beach, sound on approach. Sheltered from N through W winds by the Cap-Coz spit. Open to southerly winds and swell entering the bay from SW.
Practical
Drop anchor in 3 to 5 metres on clean sand. Port-la-Forêt marina lies one mile to the SW for fuel, water and services. Penfoulic cove 0.4 mile NW is a fall-back shelter in southerly winds.
Ashore
Cap-Coz sand beach reached by tender. The GR 34 coastal path runs along the shoreline, with Fouesnant village 2.5 km away on foot. Sailing club and slipway on the beach itself.
