Guide
Approach and anchoring
Pease Ledge is a charted hazard that dries at low water, lying among the rocks of the approach to Cuttyhunk Harbour alongside Whale Rock and the Middle Ground. Boats anchor in the lee of the ledge clear of the drying rocks, so a chart and a sounder are needed on the way in.
Practical
An open anchorage on sand and mud, sheltered from east through south to west but exposed from the north. Holding is fair. There are no facilities on the ledge itself; fresh water and supplies are found at Cuttyhunk a short run to the south-east.
