Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter Padanaram harbour from Buzzards Bay and make for Nun 12, then call the club launch on VHF 68. Transient moorings lie south of the Padanaram bridge.
Practical
Members' guests and visiting yachtsmen are welcomed for up to three nights a season, seven if a guest of a member, with a 100 USD per night use fee. There is a complimentary launch service, a fuel berth, showers, a bar and dining when available.
History
The club was founded in 1877 on Fish Island in New Bedford harbour, moved to Pope's Island in 1879, then built its Padanaram station in 1901. Padanaram became the main station after the 1941 sale of Pope's Island.
