Guide
Approach and anchoring
Mount Sinai Harbour is entered through an inlet protected by two jetties, marked at their outer ends by private lights. Pick up the red and white buoy M just north of the inlet. The channel shoals after the entrance and turns sharply to the east. Watch a 2ft shoal off Cedar Beach.
Practical
60 berths in a 300 by 400ft timber basin with a travel-lift at its centre, plus a small mooring field. Basic dockage and boatyard services. Mount Sinai Yacht Club and Ralph's Fishing Station lie within 0.1 mile to the west.
History
The yard was established in 1959. Mount Sinai Harbour was cut from the salt marsh in the early 1970s and is owned in full by the Town of Brookhaven.
