Approach and anchoring
Up the Blavet from Lorient through Port-Louis and the Pen Mané reach, passing under the Saint-Christophe road bridge. The river is navigable to Hennebont at high water, with drying banks on either side. Tidal, watch the ebb on the way back down and the overhead clearance of the bridges.
Practical
Hennebont town quay 1.5 NM north with visitor berths, water and electricity on the pontoon, fuel at Lorient only. No services at the anchorage itself.
Ashore
Hennebont at 1.5 NM, medieval ramparts and Basilique Notre-Dame-de-Paradis from the 16th century. National stud farm founded in 1857, open to visitors. Voie verte V7 cycle path along the Blavet towards Pontivy.
