Approach and anchoring

Entry via the Lorient pass between the citadelle of Port-Louis and Larmor-Plage. From the main channel head north past the Île Saint-Michel then bear east towards Pen-Mané. Shelter from NE through W; exposed to the N swell pushed by strong NW winds. VHF 9.

Practical

Water available ashore. Visitor pontoon and marina of Pen-Mané 0.2 NM to the west. Lorient centre marina 0.7 NM NW. Bus and ferry links to Lorient town centre from Locmiquélic quay.

Ashore

Pointe de Pen-Mané nature reserve borders the anchorage, salt meadows and a bird hide on the 2 km waymarked loop. Locmiquélic village shops at 700 m. Passenger ferry Batobus to Lorient and Port-Louis departs from Sainte-Catherine pier 0.6 NM south.
