Remparts and Porte Broërec'h, a 13th century fortified gate and ramparts of the medieval walled town, 200 m from the quay. Haras national d'Hennebont, one of the last working national studs in France, 1 km east. Basilique Notre-Dame du Paradis, flamboyant gothic, 16th century, 300 m.
History
Hennebont stood through a celebrated siege in 1342 during the War of the Breton Succession, when Jeanne de Flandre defended the town against French forces. The ramparts still trace the line of the medieval enceinte.
