Guide

Approach and anchoring

From the Lorient pass steer NNE along the main channel then bear east south of the Île Saint-Michel. The anchoring zone lies between the Batobus pier and the north breakwater of Sainte-Catherine. Shelter from NE, E, SE and SW; open to N and NW winds funnelling down the Blavet. VHF 9.

Practical

Water ashore at the marina 0.2 NM south. Pen-Mané marina 0.5 NM north. Batobus link to Lorient and Port-Louis from the Sainte-Catherine pier runs year round.

Ashore

Locmiquélic centre and bakery at 400 m from the pier. Coastal footpath to Pen-Mané nature reserve starts at the marina. Port-Louis citadelle and Musée de la Compagnie des Indes reached via Batobus in under 15 minutes.
