Anchorage on the south shore of the rade de Brest, Brittany, set back behind the École Navale at Lanvéoc.

Approach and anchoring
Enter the rade de Brest through the goulet, then steer south-east past Pointe des Espagnols towards Lanvéoc. The anse opens east of the naval academy peninsula. Approach on rising water to clear the mud flats. Military zone of the École Navale to the west, stay clear of buoys marking the restricted area.
Practical
Anchor in mud, good holding. Shelter from W through SE. Exposed to N and NE winds off the rade. No services on site. Moulin Mer 5 NM NE and Morgat 5 NM SW for fuel, water and provisions.
Ashore
Landing by tender on the Lanvéoc slipway only, the naval base itself is closed to the public. Coastal path GR34 runs along the peninsula north towards Roscanvel, 7 km of cliffs and WWII bunkers. Small grocery and bakery in Lanvéoc village, 1 km from the landing.
