Sand anchorage off Saint-Briac-sur-Mer on the Côte d'Émeraude, between Saint-Malo and the estuary of the Frémur.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north at mid to high water, keeping clear of the rocky heads that fringe the Pointe de la Garde Guérin and the Îles des Hébihens group to the west. Sandy bottom, good holding in settled weather. Large tidal range on this stretch, commonly above 10 m on spring tides.
Practical
Port de Saint-Briac lies 0.9 NM NE, a drying harbour with moorings inside. Port du Châtelet is 1.3 NM SW. No services at the anchorage itself.
Ashore
Saint-Briac village is 15 min on foot from the harbour, with shops and the Tuesday morning market on the place de l'Église. Sentier des Douaniers GR 34 runs along the cliffs in both directions, reaching the Pointe de la Garde Guérin viewpoint to the east in about 2 km.
