Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north between the Îles des Ébihens and the Pointe du Chevet. Strong tidal streams around the headland at springs. The harbour dries at low water, bottom of sand and mud. Enter on the flood above half tide. VHF 9 for the harbourmaster.
Practical
66 berths on drying moorings, suitable for lifting keel or bilge keel boats. Shops, bakery and restaurants in the village of Saint-Jacut at 300 m. Water at the quay. Closest all-tide refuge is Saint-Cast marina at 5 NM north-west.
Ashore
Sentier des douaniers coastal path circles the whole Saint-Jacut peninsula, about 8 km. Plage du Châtelet sand beach at the foot of the harbour. Low-tide crossing on foot to the Îles des Ébihens, a private archipelago with a Vauban tower dated 1697, at 1 km north.
