Approach and anchoring
Approach on rising tide to clear the drying banks around the Hebihens archipelago to the N. Anchor on sand on the west side of the peninsula, inside the line of drying rocks. Sheltered from SW and W, fully exposed to the N and NE. Strong tidal streams in the channel between the peninsula and the Hebihens. VHF channel 9.
Practical
Mooring field of limited capacity on buoys. No services on site. Port du Chatelet 0.4 NM S gives dinghy access to the village of Saint-Jacut. Port de Saint-Briac lies 1.8 NM NE for supplies and a fully serviced harbour.
Ashore
Village of Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer, 800 m across the narrow peninsula, with 11 beaches on the two bays, bakery and summer market. GR 34 coastal path runs the perimeter of the peninsula to the Pointe du Chevet, 2 km N, with views over the Hebihens archipelago and Cap Frehel.
