Approach and anchoring
Approach from Vineyard Sound to flashing red bell buoy 16, then steer 016 magnetic for half a mile to flashing green 1 on the west jetty. The cut between the jetties carries about 6 feet at low water. The harbour office monitors VHF 16, 12 and 9.
Practical
Shore power up to 100 amps, fresh water, heads and showers, pump-out on call. Overflow berthing on the Tide's and Davis bulkheads at the harbour mouth and north end. Marina staffed 08:00 to 20:00 in summer. Woods Hole Marine lies 3.4 nm to the south-west as an alternative.
Ashore
Falmouth Main Street, with provisioning shops and restaurants, sits 600 m north of the marina. Surf Drive and Falmouth Heights beaches lie within 1 km on either side of the harbour entrance. The Shining Sea bike path to Woods Hole starts 800 m from the berths and runs 5 km along the shore.
