Approach and anchoring
In Shaw's Cove on the west bank of the lower Thames River, reached from Long Island Sound inside New London harbour. Dockside depth is about 12ft.
Practical
More than 200 floating berths for yachts up to 100ft, with a chandlery, laundry and pool. The yard runs a 75-ton hoist and handles fibreglass and gelcoat repairs, Awlgrip paintwork, bottom paint and engine repowers.
Ashore
Downtown New London restaurants and shops are within walking distance. The Submarine Force Museum, home of the USS Nautilus, is a short drive away.
