Public transient pier on the Thames River in downtown New London, Connecticut, at the centre of the waterfront park.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
On the west bank of the lower Thames River, a short way inside the harbour from Long Island Sound. The pier sits directly behind Union Station and shares the waterfront with the Block Island and Fishers Island ferries.
Practical
Short-term and overnight transient dockage at about 2 dollars per foot, with shore power. Not a full-service marina. The pier forms the focal point of a waterfront park with a half-mile promenade.
Ashore
Downtown New London is steps from the dock, with restaurants, shops and museums. Union Station gives direct rail links along the coast.
