Guide
Approach and anchoring
The waterfront mooring field holds 41 Helix moorings in 15 to 19 feet of water, taking power or sailing boats up to 50 feet. It is sheltered from most directions, with more movement in a strong easterly or north-easterly. Crocker's Boatyard lies 0.3 miles west.
Practical
City Pier, 0.3 miles north, has overnight berths on six floating pontoons with shore power and fresh water. Dinghies land at City Pier or at the Custom House Pier, the latter with restrooms and showers ashore.
Ashore
The downtown waterfront sits within walking distance of the moorings, with shops and the railway station. The Thames River Heritage Park links waterfront sites by water taxi in season.
