Mud anchorage on the east bank of the Rance maritime, below the hamlet of Mordreuc in Pleudihen-sur-Rance, Côtes-d'Armor.

Approach and anchoring

Accessible between the Chatelier lock upstream and the Rance tidal dam at La Richardais downstream. The river level is controlled by the EDF barrage, so there is no normal tide cycle; check daily locking schedules. Holding on mud is good. Protection from W and SW; open to the N down the reach.

Practical

Forain anchorage with no pontoon. A small slip and restaurant sit on the shore. Plouër-sur-Rance La Minotais marina is 0.8 NM NW with water and electricity; Port Lyvet is 1.7 NM SW at the mouth of the Chatelier lock.

Ashore

Former ferry quay still bears the line of the old rope crossing to La Ville-Ger on the opposite bank. The Dinan to Saint-Malo towpath passes the quay and leads to Dinan ramparts in about 7 km on foot or by bike.
