Approach and anchoring
Open roadstead on the south coast of the island. Sheltered from N, NE and NW winds, fully exposed to the southerly sector and to Mediterranean swell. Watch for posidonia patches when picking a sand spot. Clear approach from the south with no outlying dangers.
Practical
Mouillage forain only, no services on this side. Port Auguier lies 2.5 NM NW, village of Porquerolles 1.1 NM NE for water, provisions and ferry link to La Tour Fondue.
Ashore
Coastal path along the south cliffs leads to Cap d'Arme and Plage Noire beach. Île de Porquerolles is part of the Parc national de Port-Cros, created in 1963, with anchoring regulations enforced by the park rangers.
