Approach and anchoring

Approach from the south, deep water up to the cliffs. Bottom is rock and will not hold a plough reliably; most visitors take a mooring buoy when available or use a kellet. Shelter from north through north-east to north-west, fully open to any southerly component. In mistral the bay funnels gusts down the calanque, plan for a dawn departure.

Practical

Société Nautique des Figuières manages the shore moorings in the cove itself. No fuel or chandlery. Calanque de Petit Méjean 0.3 nautical miles east gives a second anchoring option on similar rock bottom.

Ashore

The calanque sits inside the Parc Marin de la Côte Bleue, created in 1983, one of the first local marine protected areas on the French Mediterranean coast. GR 51 passes on the cliff above, with a footpath down to the cove. Small fishing hamlet of Méjean 1 kilometre east with a couple of summer restaurants.
