Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach on sight from the S along the Côte Bleue cliffs. Sand and rock bottom, holding varies with the patch. Sheltered from NW, N, W and SW, the usual summer mistral sector. Fully open to the S and SE, leave before any marin sets in. Rocky shoreline, drop the hook on sand patches visible through clear water.
Practical
No services on site. Niolon, 0.7 NM to the NE, has a small harbour run by the UCPA diving centre. Calanque du Petit Méjean, 1.2 NM to the W, offers a second anchorage option.
Ashore
The Côte Bleue Marine Park covers the coastline, with two no-take zones at Carry-le-Rouet and Cap Couronne. GR51 footpath runs along the clifftop, with access down to the calanque. Niolon is a recognised dive site, with the wreck of the Chaouen nearby.
