Guide
Approach and anchoring
Narrow inlet between steep white limestone cliffs, open to the south. Entry is straightforward by day, the calanque is unlit at night. Strong mistral from the north-west generates gusts over the cliff tops. Max draught reported around 5 m in the inlet.
Practical
Mooring in the inlet is managed by the local society and largely taken by residents, visiting berths are limited. No fuel and no chandlery on site. A bakery and a small general store are in the village above the port, the SNCF halt of La Redonne-Ensuès on the Côte Bleue line runs to Marseille and Miramas.
Ashore
The port sits inside the Parc Marin de la Côte Bleue, created in 1983, with a no-take zone off Carry-le-Rouet 3 NM east. The GR51 coastal path links the neighbouring calanques of Méjean and Figuières, the latter 0,5 NM east. Méjean calanque 0,8 NM east has a small pebble beach.
