Approach and anchoring
Approach from the E or SE in clear water. Sand bottom with good holding. Sheltered from N, NE and NW by the peninsula, open to E and SE. La Madrague de Giens 0.4 NM to the NW and Port du Niel 0.6 NM to the E are the nearest refuge harbours.
Practical
Day anchorage. No services on site. Giens village and shops inland. Ferries to Porquerolles leave from La Tour Fondue at the southern tip of the peninsula.
Ashore
Coastal path along the east shore of the Giens peninsula, towards La Tour Fondue about 2 km south. Salt marshes and pink flamingos on the western double tombolo, a Natura 2000 site.
