Approach and anchoring

Enter from the south between Cap de Feno and Punta di Ventilegne, then run north into the bay. The channel is narrow in places with rocks on both sides, best attempted by day with good visibility. The bay opens to the south and south-west, so swell can push in when the libeccio blows.

Practical

Forain anchorage on sand and weed. Holding is variable where posidonia covers the bottom, so check that the anchor is set on a clear sand patch. Water tap reported ashore. For fuel and full services, head to Bonifacio marina 6.3 NM to the south-east, or to the small port of Pianottoli-Caldarello 0.2 NM to the north-west.

Ashore

Village of Pianottoli-Caldarello within walking distance, with a bakery, small grocery and a few restaurants. The Tonnara beach and the granite coast of the Bruzzi site, a protected natural area, are reachable on foot along the coastal path.
