Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the S in clear visibility; the coast is dotted with low granite islets and shoals typical of the Sartene coast, so watch charted rocks on the run-in. Sand seabed with good holding. Shelter from NW and N; open to the S and E.
Practical
Pianottoli-Caldarello at 1.4 NM NE has a small marina with water and fuel. Bonifacio commercial marina at 6.4 NM SE sits at the foot of the limestone cliffs and offers full services year-round.
Ashore
The coast belongs to the Reserve naturelle des Bouches de Bonifacio, the largest marine protected area in metropolitan France. Sentier du littoral runs inland of the beach, with the village of Pianottoli at 2 km.
