Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the west clear of the coast. The shoreline is fringed with drying rocks and the bottom is rocky, so pick a sand patch visually in settled weather. Holding is poor on weed and stone. Shelter from SE through S to W only; exposed to N and NE swells that wrap around the Cap Sizun headlands.
Practical
No facilities. No pontoon, no buoys, no water. Audierne lies 5.7 NM to the SE as the nearest all-weather refuge, Port du Men-Brial on the Île de Sein 7.8 NM to the W. Day stop in calm weather only.
Ashore
The GR 34 coastal path runs along the cliff tops above the bay and links Pointe de Brézellec to Pointe du Van in about 3 km. Small car park and viewpoint at Pointe de Brézellec, roughly 50 m of elevation above the water.
