Approach and anchoring
Exposed Atlantic coast between the Raz de Sein and the Baie d'Audierne. Sand bottom. Protection from E, SE, S and SW, fully open to the dominant W and NW swell. Strong tidal streams run off the Raz de Sein a few miles to the W, plan the approach on a favourable tide.
Practical
No services. Port du Men-Brial on the Île de Sein is 6.4 nm W across the Raz. Audierne is 6.8 nm E for a tidal basin with all services.
Ashore
The GR 34 coastal path runs along the cliffs of Cap Sizun above the anchorage and links the hamlets of Plogoff and Cléden-Cap-Sizun. The Cap Sizun bird reserve at Goulien is about 5 km by land, with seabird colonies on the cliffs.
