Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the west via the Raz de Sein, keeping clear of the Gamelle rocks marked by a west cardinal. The bay is open to the south and south-east. Sheltered from NW through W to SW. VHF 9 for the harbour office of Audierne. Low water reduces depths quickly on the inner part of the bay.
Practical
Visitor buoys laid by the commune, sand bottom with good holding. Dinghy landing at the Sainte-Évette slipway. Audierne harbour sits 1 NM to the NE with fuel, water and showers. Pors Poulhan lies 3.7 NM to the E as a fallback refuge.
Ashore
Coastal path GR 34 runs along the cliffs from the slipway north to Audierne in under 3 km, and south towards the Pointe de Lervily. Small shop and bakery in Audierne. Boats for the Île de Sein leave from Sainte-Évette pier daily in season.
