Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north, keeping clear of the rocks off Pointe du Lequin to the east. Bottom is sand with patches of rock and Posidonia seagrass, so drop the anchor on the sand strips only. The bay is open to easterly and southerly winds; in a mistral it stays sheltered but a cross swell can set in.
Practical
No services on the mooring. Closest shelter is Porquerolles harbour 1.5 nm to the SW, with water, fuel and berths. Port Auguier lies 3.8 nm to the W. Mooring on Posidonia is prohibited inside the park.
Ashore
Plage Notre-Dame is a 800 m sand beach often ranked among the longest on the island. Coastal path to Porquerolles village in about 45 minutes on foot. Ruins of Fort de la Galère above the bay to the north-east.
