Nine islands around a white-sand lagoon, La Chambre, 10 miles off Concarneau and Bénodet. Saint-Nicolas and its sailing school, Penfret and its lighthouse, Drenec and Bananec depending on the wind. The turquoise water hides rocks everywhere: approach by eye in good light, anchor on sand and plan to leave if the wind backs south, since the archipelago offers no shelter from that side.
