Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach by daylight and at half-tide rising, the bank dries at low water springs. Bottom of sand with patches of algae, drop the anchor on clear white sand for reliable holding. Shelter runs from NW round to SE through N and E; any southerly breeze makes the bank untenable.
Ashore
Guiriden dries into a sandbar at low water, walkable but landing is limited to protect nesting birds. Saint-Nicolas, the main island of the Glénan, lies one mile south with a sailing school founded in 1947. Port de Trévignon on the mainland 6.5 NM northeast for shelter.
