Approach and anchoring
Reached through the jettied inlet from Block Island Sound, then southward into Lake Montauk. The federal channel carries 12 feet to a depth of 10 feet in the basin; watch the shifting shoal northeast of Star Island. The marina sits on the western shore in a basin sheltered from open water.
Practical
Around 40 fixed-pontoon berths for larger boats and roughly 60 floating-pontoon berths for smaller craft, with visitor and seasonal dockage. Water at every berth and 20, 30 or 50-amp shore power at the larger berths. Fuel berth on site. Charter fleet, live bait and tackle, and a seafood restaurant.
Ashore
Montauk village centre is about 4 km south. The Montauk Point Light at the tip of the peninsula stands roughly 6 km to the east.
